Nov updates at Jonas Salk ES

  • Monday 11/13 – Choice application window for 2018-2019 School Year ENDS
  • ALL WEEK – Dismissal is at 12:15pm for Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • ALL WEEK – ASB’s food drive collection (bring your donation to the front office)
  • Thursday 11/16 – 10am to 11pm – PTA Restaurant Night @ Panda Express
  • Friday 11/17 – 7:50am to 8am – Monthly Den Meeting/Paw Awards
  • Friday 11/17 – NO Principal’s Coffee

FYI – NO SCHOOL week of 11/20 to 11/24 for Thanksgiving Break.  School will resume as normal on Monday, 11/27.

Friday 11/24 – Some of your fellow Jonas Salk Lions will be performing their Heartlight San Diego dance numbers during halftime at the SDSU Aztecs vs New Mexico Lobos game.  Be sure to come out and support!

FYI – Updated School “Wish List”

Calling all Jonas Salk ES families!  We need your help!

At the beginning of every school year there are classroom “Wish Lists” that go out letting you know which items you can purchase and donate to your child’s teacher to ensure their classroom has enough supplies for the school year. We have put together a School Wide Wish List to let all parents and community members know what is needed to ensure that the School’s Administration and Support Staff have enough supplies for the school year. We appreciate all that you do to ensure a SUCCESSFUL school year.

This email will be sent out monthly and the Wish List will be updated regularly with new items, and fulfillments as they come in.

Fall Fundraiser distribution UPDATE

Hello Jonas Salk Community!

We are looking for any volunteer(s) that are willing to help with Fall Fundraiser distribution from 6pm – 8pm Wed night at the PTA office so we can accommodate those parents who are not able to make it by the 330pm cut-off Wed after school nor the designated times Thursday morning (7:40am-8:30am).

If you’re able to assist we welcome you with open arms! Just touch base with a PTA Board representative!
