Talent show donations update!

Happy Monday!

Last week an email was sent out requesting donations for the Talent Show. Thank you for those that have already donated. The last email was a bit vague, so here is some more information on the donation details:

• We ask that you donate packaged snacks or treats only (please no “homemade” snacks and treats)

◦ Examples: cookies, candy bars. Think of things you would like to eat/buy at a concession stand during Intermission

• Drinks: Gatorades, and clear sodas (like Sprite, or Ginger ale). No colored juices or sodas (nothing that can stain the carpet).

◦ No water needed (we have plenty)

• Please bring in your donations to the Office ASAP, no later than Thursday, June 7th.

• If you have any additional questions or concerns about the Talent Show Donations and/or concession stand, please contact (the amazing) Ms. Carmen directly at: mmaderias1@sandi.net

Summer Games – Field Day, 6/12 – Volunteers Needed!

Prevent Couch Potatoes from forming on your furniture! Summer Games Field Day gives students ideas for summertime activities.
Field Day is Tuesday, June 12th:
8:00-8:45………5th grade
8:45-9:30………1st grade
9:30-10:15……..2nd and 3rd grades
10:15-11:00……4th grade
Parents/Guardians are welcome to come. You must have a visitors pass on to enter the field.
We could use adults to help run the TK/Kinder stations.
Please contact Mrs. McGinn (vmcginn@sandi.net) if you are able to volunteer.
(*must have been approved as volunteer through the school district – see the front office)

Garden Day – Join us!

THIS weekend!

Garden Day at Jonas Salk Elementary
When: Saturday, June 2nd
Time: 8:00 am-12:00 pm
Where: Garden area in rear of school
Please bring garden tools, wheelbarrow, water, and a snack for yourself.
In order to build garden beds, we are in need of wood pallets and or cinder blocks, and dirt. Please bring these items to the garden area.
We welcome all volunteers to join us for this awesome project!


3rd Annual Talent Show 2017-2018

When:  Friday, June 8th @ 6pm in the MPR (Multi-Purpose Room)

Tickets can be purchased in the front office (858) 935-2100 if you need further info.

Keep in mind this Talent Show is a school fundraiser, so any and al help is greatly appreciated!
